Eddie Ruth of Susquehanna Township upsets Thad Frick of Nazareth

Thad Frick, considered one of the top two wrestlers to make the finals at the 160 lb. weight class, suffered a loss today at the hands of Eddie Ruth, a super talented sophmore from Susquehanna Township. Ruth came out behind in the third period and showed super heart to and really put the pressure on to Frick gaining a couple takedowns to come out on top on the scoreboard. In a flurry near the end of the third period, Ruth gained another takedown to take the lead for good in what many will call the upset of the Quarterfinal round. Ruth, entering the state championships with a record of 25-1, will face off against another very high ranked wrestler from Bald Eagle Area, Quentin Wright. This match will be a barnburner. I,myself, can't wait for this match to take place. It could be one of the most exciting matches of the Semi Final round.
