Nic Bedleyon of Indian Valley defeats

In a match of two highly ranked competitors, Nic Bedleyon, a two time returning state medalist, won a close 2-1 decision of another two time returning medalist in Nico Cortese of Hempfield. In a match of basically the battle of defense, Bedleyon used a takedown to his advantage to take a slim 2-1 lead. A basic first period of motion and hardly no shots at all, the first period ended in a 0-0 tie. Cortese rode Bedleyon the entire second period to end the period again at a 0-0 tie. Cortese escaped in the third to be taken down by Bedleyon where the match ended 2-1 in favor of Bedleyon.
